PLEASE NOTE: This is a live solo performance. Orchestra performances will not appear in Perth.

Since emerging from Melbourne’s dance music scene, SWIM has built a rapidly growing international following through a fiercely independent approach to music and live performance, releasing more than 50 tracks, multiple EPs and two full-length records.

His live show has evolved alongside that growth, moving from intimate hometown rooms to sold-out performances at Melbourne’s Forum Theatre, London’s KOKO and the Sydney Opera House, alongside appearances at major festivals throughout Australia and Europe.

At the heart of SWIM’s music is what he describes as “emotional dance music” — a meeting point between introspection and release, cinematic songwriting and club-focused production. On stage, that idea expands into something much larger. Electronic production is combined with live instrumentation, orchestral arrangements, lighting, movement and visual world-building to create a show designed to feel as emotionally immersive as the records themselves.

That ambition has increasingly pushed SWIM beyond the conventions of a traditional electronic live set. From recording sweeping string arrangements with a full string orchestra in Budapest to incorporating live strings and ballerinas into his performances, each iteration of the show has become more expansive, cinematic and theatrical.

“I’m so excited to be coming home to Australia and taking this show around the country. Playing with an orchestra at the Sydney Opera House was such a special moment for me, and ever since then I’ve wanted to take that idea further. These shows are going to be the biggest and most ambitious shows we’ve put together yet — bringing the live music, orchestral side and electronic show into one world. I can’t wait for people to experience it.”
